36 Weeks!

Today I am 36 weeks (9 months) pregnant!  4 more weeks to go!

I started my weekly OB appointments yesterday.  My doc swabbed me to see if I have group B strep, and while he was down there, I told him to go ahead and check my cervix.  I was sure that I wouldn't be dilated or effaced at all, but to every one's surprise, I am.  Doc said Baby Boy's head is down...down so far he could feel it, and I'm dilated 1.5 cm and 70% effaced.  Wow...Baby Boy could make his arrival sooner than we thought!  Dr. Thackeray told me that I could stay like this for another few weeks, or I could keep progressing and have a baby any day.  I go back on Friday and he'll check me again then...so we will see.  I am SO physically ready for this boy to come out, but Park and I aren't really ready for him to be here quite yet.  We are in between houses...the renovations on my mom's new house won't be done until after April 15th at the earliest.  We still don't have everything we need for baby boy, either.  Oh well...whether we are ready or not, he'll be here when he is ready.

I'm very uncomfortable...my back, hips, and pelvis are always aching.  I barely sleep at all at night...it's so hard to get comfortable and stay that way.  Indigestion has come back to visit.  I'm exhausted all the time.  I've got a super nose (not just the size) and smell EVERYTHING x 1000.  Baby Boy is constantly kicking, punching, elbowing, and kneeing me everywhere, all day long.  All of that  being said, I am so grateful to have this opportunity to be pregnant.  It's unlike anything I've ever experienced and I know I'll never fully be able to explain all that it entails.

Here are my 36 week baby bump pictures.  I've gained...drum roll please...a total of 32.6 lbs so far.  Yikes.

You are a cute prego lady! The end is in sight though! I know, nerveracking and exciting! I hope, hope, hope that delivery goes smoothly for you! Your baby shower looked fun... I'm jealous that Casey got to be there! I can't wait to see pictures of baby boy.... P.S. I know I'm not an expert on babies or kids but, I've found myself talking/asking friends who had recently had babies because of their more recent experiences... if you need moral support or have questions about when the crazy night time schedule will end, call me!

You are so cute Anna! Your preggo belly is adorable! I hope you are all doing well and that you can get some good back rubs from Park... That is how I got through the last month of pregnancy. :)
