Ready Or Not...

Last night I had some pretty bad "cramps."  I haven't experienced anything like it since I've been pregnant.  It lasted until I was finally able to fall asleep after midnight and picked right back up this morning when I woke up. 

After some convincing from Park, I called my doctor's office this morning and told them what was going on.  They had me come up (I work in the hospital I am delivering at) and get checked out...just in case.  Well...I'm almost dilated to 3 cm and am now 95% effaced. 

Dr. Thackeray thinks Baby Boy will be here any day now.  He said that if I were a little further along, he would probably send me down to Labor and Delivery to get the show on the road.  I'm technically not even full term yet...Baby Boy will be considered full term at 37 weeks, which is Saturday.  He told me to come back to work, if I could, and just start paying more attention to my contractions (I'm still not sure what a contraction is...so I'm just writing down the times that I have the most painful cramps) and to come in when they are about 5 minutes apart or if my water breaks. 

So...ready or not, it looks like Baby Boy is close to making his arrival.  I still haven't packed a hospital bag...I'm not really even sure what should go in one's hospital bag.  Maybe I'll leave work early and figure that one out...  We'll keep you updated!
