Ramsey - Our ULTIMATE Fighter!

This past weekend we were all down in Las Vegas to support Ramsey, my sister Mary's boyfriend.  Ramsey was on the show The Ultimate Fighter that aired on Spike TV this season every Wednesday night.  He made it to the finale...and fought Tony Ferguson at the Pearl in the Palms Hotel and Casino on Saturday night.  Ramsey was amazing the entire season on the show.  He made this season so entertaining, being his goofy, fun self, but at the same time he trained hard and won all of his fights.  Ramsey did not end up winning the fight on Saturday, but we are so so so proud of him and know that this is just the beginning of an amazing MMA career for him.

Before we left for Vegas, Sarah and I made t-shirts to wear the night of the fight to show our support for Ramsey.  We made this cute onsie for baby Park:

 

 

 

I drove down Thursday night with baby Park, Sarah, Lindsey, and Abby.  We spent two nights in St. George and then drove down to Vegas Saturday morning.  Park left Friday morning with my uncle Dennis to ride their motorcycles to Vegas.

As soon as we got settled into our hotel Saturday morning, we met up with Ramsey to wish him luck.

As soon as Park and Dennis made it to Vegas, we went with them to get their tickets for the fights.  The only tickets left at the box office were $400, so we met a nice scalper who sold them two tickets for $200 each.

The rest of us planned on watching the fight on Spike in our hotel room or down in the hotel casino, but, as luck would have it, we all got into the Pearl and were able to watch the fight.  We had gone down to the Pearl to wait for Mary to come out so we could say hi.  While we were waiting for her, (all wearing the Ramsey shirts we made) Ralph, the head of security for the Pearl, came up to talk to us and ask us who we were there for.  After a small amount of schmoozing, he let us all in...a total of 11 of us including baby Park...and walked us to some open seats that just happened to be on the the same row that Park and Dennis' seats were on.  It was great.  I hung out in the lobby with baby Park in the Baby Bjorn until Ramsey's fight, and then went in.  I was physically ill the entire time, screaming my head off while holding baby Park in my arms.  I know that people thought I was insane for having a 6 week old baby at a UFC fight, but I wasn't going to miss if for anything.

While I was waiting in the lobby for the fight to start, some drunk guy from Canada who flew all the way to Vegas to see "Stripper Ramsey" fight, gave me that fake UFC belt for baby Park...

After the fight we all went out to eat with Ramsey.  

It was a great weekend, and we are all so glad that we could be there in Vegas for Ramsey's big weekend.  We love him and are so excited for what's next...
