Christmas Cookies In A Jar

I found a cute idea for a Christmas gift for the girls I visit teach and the girls I work for here.  I am not a baker...nor a cook (thanks, mom), so this was a nice homemade gift that's not technically homemade.  It's just a mason jar filled with all of the dry ingredients to make cookies.  I told my mom that I was going to make these, and of course she wanted in on the action.  So, Monday night we went shopping for all of the ingredients, jars, fabric, ribbon, paper, etc, and Tuesday night we formed an assembly line in the kitchen and made a bunch of these.  It was a bit stressful trying to make sure that all of the ingredients were packed down tight enough so that in the end we could screw the lid on, but we did it!  Didn't they turn out cute?!?!  The girls I work with loved them, and I hope the girls I visit teach will, too.
