My weekend more than made up for my lame birthDAY. Friday Park and I had school/work and then ate dinner at Cafe Rio (we had a "FREE MEAL" which made it even more delicious) and then went downtown to the Gateway so I could spend some birthday money that my dad sent me. The best part, though, was that Park had the opportunity to go watch the fights down in Provo with my sister...I told him he could go...but he decided not to so that we could spend time together. He picked me...and that was the best part of the day.
Saturday I spent the whole day with my mom. I first opened my gift from her. She bought me a rocker/recliner for the baby! Park helped her pick it out, and I was so surprised! I have a feeling that Park will end up taking over this chair, though. His bum has already spent way more time in it than mine.
Then my mom and I went to yoga, she took me shopping... a new bra (heaven), some cute pajamas, maternity garments (not cute, if you were wondering), a dress and a few shirts, we had lunch at Chipolte, and then we went and got 30 minute massages at Massage Envy. It was so nice to spend the day with my mom. She is so good to me. I don't know what I'd do without her!
Saturday night my mom, Park, and I met Sarah and Jason for dinner and a movie. Good movie. Good food. Great company. Amazing day.
Sunday after church we headed to Park's parent's house for my birthday party with his family. Cathy made homemade pizza, salad, and garlic bread, and we had pie and ice cream for dessert. I got spoiled again with gifts from Park's parents and siblings.
Thanks to everyone who made my day special with emails, text, facebook wall posts, and calls. I have the best family and friends a girl could ask for.
Here's to my best year yet!
Me and my birthday pie
Aunt Anna with her favorite birthday helpers...not sure if I could have opened gifts or blown out candles without them!
