We Got A Crib!

When Park and I decided that we were ready to get pregnant and start our family, we didn't really think about all of the "stuff" we would need to buy for the baby, how much having a baby actually costs, and all of the costs that come after.  Wow.  Having a baby, especially your first, is expensive.  Luckily, we have very generous family members who want to help us in this exciting time.

This weekend, Park's mom and dad bought us a crib.  And not just any crib.  A BEAUTIFUL crib.  I told Park that I really wanted him to be the one to pick out the crib because he knows furniture better than anyone I know, and I knew that whatever he picked I would love because I have loved every piece of furniture that he has built for me.

Park and I went to every furniture place we could think of to look at cribs between Friday night and Saturday, and this is what we decided on.

So one big baby purchase down, several more to go.  Thank you, thank you, thank you Jay and Cathy for buying Baby Boy this beautiful crib.  We love it and we love you!

OH gosh, get ready for it...first babies are so expensive! I think some things are worth it to buck up and spend money on (thermometer, a good stroller, bouncy chair, boppy if you are nursing...) some are not ( expensive car seats, newborn size clothes, name-brand baby medicine & too many toys. They rather chew on kitchen stuff haha:)) but either way, it is still shocking us every time Cade moves to a new 'stage' and the things he needs! We are so excited for you guys. It is so hard, but so worth it...please don't hesitate if you need a pre-baby vacation by the coast! We have a room for ya:)
