Park and I decided in the early summer that we were ready to start trying soon. Since Park won't finish with his degree until the beginning of August 2011, we decided that we would "plan" on having a baby that month. Well...our "plan" didn't quite go as planned. (Go figure) I was sure that it was going to take us several months to conceive, so I got my IUD removed on July 21, 2010. Right now I am 5 weeks and 6 days, so if you do the math, it's clear we conceived on our first try. (Park is so proud of his superman swimmers)
I was supposed to wait one full week after my missed period to take a pregnancy test, but I couldn't do it. So as soon as I woke up on the 6th day of still not having a period, I took a pregnancy test. There was instantly a big fat + staring up at me. I ran out of the bathroom, flipped on the lights, and woke Park up with the good news. YAY! Oh...and just in case that pregnancy test was wrong, the next day I went out and bought another one...one of those fancy digital EPTs...and I got a PREGNANT!
Although we will now be expecting a baby several months before we were "planning" on it, we are so so so happy. I'm due April 30, 2011, and as of right now, I fell pretty darn good.
