The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

No...I'm not talking about Christmas.  I'm talking about THANKSGIVING...specifically Thanksgiving week.  It is now the only time I get to go back "home" to Missouri.  I look forward to it more than anything all year, and this year was no exception.  I just can't believe it's already over.

We (Sarah, Jason, Mary, Ramsey, Park, and I) were supposed to leave Tuesday night to fly into St. Louis.  On our way to the airport we got a call from my mom saying that our flight had been canceled due to weather.  So, we headed back to the house and I spent 57 minutes on the phone with Southwest Customer Service trying to book the next flight out of Salt Lake City to St. Louis.  We ended up getting seats on the 9:15 am flight Wednesday morning...which was of course delayed.  BUT...we FINALLY made it to Missouri Wednesday afternoon, and to Washington by 5:15 pm.  Yay!  My dad was waiting with steak and chicken tacos (Yum!  We were STARVING!) and some of our Nothum family.

Thursday morning we got ready and headed up to my Grandy and Grampy's stake center in Florissant for our Thanksgiving extravaganza!  It was so fun to see some of my Nelson family that I haven't seen since last year.  There were lots of new baby cousins to hold and play with, lots of hugs to be given, and lots catching up to do.  Thinking about my family puts an instant smile on my face.  :)

I have so so so much to be grateful for this year...but here are my top 5:
1. A hard working husband who is getting through school at lightning speed so he can provide for our growing family!
2. The opportunity to be pregnant!
3. My mom!  I don't know what I would do without her!
4. Family!  Nothum, Nelson, Sorenson...I have the best family in the world!
5. Traditions!

Thursday night we drove out to New Haven to do Thanksgiving with my Nothum family at my Grampy's farm.  All of my dad's sisters were there, which was fun because I haven't seen them in awhile!

Friday was the celebration of my Grandy and Grampy's 50th wedding anniversary.  We were all back up at the stake center to decorate and get food ready for the party.  All of our Nelson family was in attendance, and countless friends of my grandparents came to show their love and respect.  It was amazing.  My Grandy and Grampy are the best.

Saturday we relaxed all day...lots of eating and sleeping.

Sunday we packed up and headed to the airport.

Thanks so my mom who made it possible for all of us to be in St. Louis for Thanksgiving this year.  Family is the most important thing to her and she knows how important it is for all of us to be together for Thanksgiving.

Here are some pictures from Thanksgiving and the 50th Wedding Anniversary Party.
